Geared up
Richard Van Der Male generously gifted the project a Manfrotto tripod head many years ago, for which I'll always be humbled. He didn't know me beyond the posts he read here, yet somehow he wanted to support what he saw by sharing great quality gear that he no longer needed.
Likewise, former blog reader and now dear friend, Dick Kaneshiro, everyone's creative project hero, just did the same. He brought over the nicest Bogen Manfrotto Pro Camera Support (aka a very solid and stable tripod) that works perfectly with the gifted tripod head, making my fine shooting kit complete.
Extremely thoughtful and appreciated! THANK YOU BOTH!
How wonderful of these guys - very generous.

as it has a parallel in creative people sharing.
Aron Bothman works in stop motion and he sometimes shows snippets of the creative process in-between his artwork. I enjoyed watching the solutions that the teams he collaborates with have come up with.
Perhaps you've come across him?

How very interesting indeed! No, I hadn't known about Aron, but am checking his work out now. I see he and Hero Dick Kaneshiro and he both worked on Anomalisa, so perhaps they met? And I see he's attended CalArts and therefore he may know one of the founding animation program directors there who came to Halfland to see the goings on. She seemed to like it all but made it clear that NO CalArts student paying 60k/year to attend would waste their time interning here as it wouldn't do their art careers any good as I am a nobody. Ouch but fair enough. That's when I knew for certain that what I'm doing has NOTHING at all todo with what's called the art world. And I LOVE Aron's use of "Animation Artist" for describing his work!!!!!!!!! That is the absolute best term I've ever heard for this work. THANK YOU!
