Incident Case Study

Thanks to everyone for your caring comments & emails. Doing great. Paul has been trying to curtail his funny comments but we never realized how often he makes me laugh until this happened. And I was doing great keeping deadpan (until I made these photos.) New Halfland updates coming soon! --xoxox, Gywen

  1. Is that culprit in the mugshot?

I hope the pain of it all has lessened and that you're on the mend!

  3. heh heh, yep, that's the bugger. She really loves me and wouldn't have ever ever hurt me knowingly. It was just bad timing on my part.

I'm 100% fine. We'll see how the kisser heals up after all this laughter!

Thanks, Katie! I knitted the cap on a circle loom with super chunky yarn, so fun!

  8. I stopped trusting cats a long time ago. One night last week I woke up when one of my cats had crawled under my bedcover and started nibbling on my testicles.

  9. Yow! That's got me beat, Richard! Speaking of cats, your tiger arrived here! Hooray, It's fabulous. Post coming up.

Thanks, all! Taking it easy. Artist and friend Downstairs Clare has passed, so, preparing good ol' post about him as well as new prop reports. Stitches out Friday.

  10. Gah! I won't even try to say anything funny - I once had a lip split open from falling in the attic, and had to avoid watching my favourite comedy show for a couple of weeks. Heal quickly Shelley!

I went ahead and made my lamps - mostly greenish tarnish because they're meant to be brass. It's posted, with other pics, at this SMA thread:

Not quite as refined as your patinas but I think it will do.

I saw the tiger in progress at Richard's website, looking forward to your post of the finished fishie.

  11. Nick, YOU MOCK ME. That's what I get for not reading the boards. The nerve of me giving you advice, holy shit.

Those set pieces and props are ingenious and perfectly executed. I'll still send you materials to play with but I'll leave my advice at the door. Sheesh.

Sorry to hear you had a fall, that's scary. Healing fast. Tiger post next...

I will forever bow to your mastery m..m

  12. I like it most if people always get the best out of a bad situation. You turn this accident into a lovely photoshooting and made some entertaining pics of it. Great job!

I hope that you'll be able to laugh from heart again soon!
