Remote-Support Report (Week 1)
Through our first three days, Kyelynn and I have gleaned a slew of insights and broken through barriers to complete our tasks. She, hers, me, mine. The point is to focus our attention on what we want to accomplish without a shred of stress or judgment. And it's working so well!
We restructured the schedule to do individual morning chores until noon without contact, declare our focus tasks for the day at noon, text progress updates at 7:30 pm, and end the day with task updates/course corrections at 10:30 pm. Meal breaks happen on our own timing. So now the blocks of working are from noon to 5 pm and pick back up for a second round from 7:30 to 10:30. About 8 hours per day of project progress Monday through Friday. Weekends are for tending to other chores and a bit of guilt-free indulgence in whatever we want.
I've been more productive and taken better care of responsibilities than I have ever done before, without tension, inertia, or the shame of delinquency. I cooked, ate, cleaned up, fed the birds and pets, tended the garden, and even bathed. What strange new world is this?!
Progress summary:
Made my big armature parts order and cleaned and sorted existing material to produce new Halfland armatures when the order arrives.
Completed the botanical face prop-puppet.
Documented progress with blog posts [meta]
These first three days have refined our support system and gotten things moving in an encouraging way.
On to the exciting second week! Thank you so much for your support.
